Original Painting. In 2022, I was invited to Hulaween Festival in Florida as an independent contractor for Spirit Lake. I was there for a month and challenged to turn my paintings into large wooden cut-outs to be placed in the trees. It was my very first time working with tools to cut my own shapes and I was left to my own devices to teach myself! It was a humbling experience. This is one of the random shapes I made while practicing. I took it home and somehow after looking at it for awhile, I saw a tail feather. Mr. Macaw was born.
